POSITION OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Product Management will be primarily responsible for driving the process for collecting, analyzing, defining and prioritizing the market requirements for the product line, and for disseminating priority product requirements to the product development organization. As the company gains traction in new markets, the Vice President of Product Management, will play a major role, driving the product mix and corresponding pricing methodology and/or respective business model, competitive positioning and functionality roadmap based upon direct customer feedback. He she will also invest appropriate time interacting with potential partners, customers and other constituent groups to remain current on trends and shifts in the marketplace that impact the product direction, as well as to represent the company in the marketplace as a spokesperson.DUTIES TO INCLUDE
- Manage and refine long-term product strategy and product planning process
- Drive product / services roadmap and product / services definition including corresponding business model an pricing
- Develop sales kit information to support product training and sales presentation
- Develop, refine and execute Product Plan, as well as, annual objectives for the Product Management team
- Track and improve key site performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Evaluate new organic and non-organic product opportunities, including revenue and cost estimates, target markets and fit with current product offering
- Develop market research strategy to ensure that short and long term product plan is aligned with customer and market needs
- Collaborate with all cross functional teams, in particular engineering, marketing, sales and customer support, to build, launch and maintain products
REQUIRED SKILLS
- 8-10 years’ experience in product management, with 4-6 years’ experience in the telecommunications space
- Proven success with the conception, definition and launch of multiple web/mobile products and services incl. corresponding business models / tariff structures
- Extensive experience in developing and validating product strategy plans, defining product requirements and managing products in high growth emerging mobile markets
- Extensive project management experience of cross functional teams in product management, R&D, sales, marketing incl. ability to integrate off sharing partners
- Ability to adapt to multi culture customer market environments
- Ability to synthesize complex business tradeoffs and develop prioritizations among numerous competition objectives
- Ability to work at a high pace and in an entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to grasp complex concepts and develop clear, concise, synthesized recommendations
- Ability to think at a high-level and set date specific objectives that are tied to strategic goals
- Ability to work well across the organization with a strong appreciation for product development and technical teams by bridging the divide between R&D and sales/marketing
- Ability to lead by example, and to attract, develop and retrain a team of talented people
- BA/BS required. MBA preferred.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE
- Develop strong business relationships with customers [internal and external], understand and analyze customer requirements and in response develop business data models to meet their business requirements.
- Work with IT Team to develop and maintain systems to generate reports and perform adhoc analysis.
- Provide specialized customer segmentation and usage analysis that will feed into marketing campaigns, product enhancements and content acquisition strategy.
- Play a role in client management, working closely with clients to maintain business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to reporting and billing, and maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Ability to guide projects to successful completion by demonstrating a professional understanding of business objectives, and showing initiative when collaborating and seeking agreement with all interested parties.
- Resolve complex data issues with a thorough understanding of the systems abilities and users’ needs
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science preferred
- Solutions oriented approach to problem solving. Continuous improvement mindset and methodology.
- Ability to multi-task with high amounts of data.
- Advanced Excel skills, and Database management skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong systems integration and implementation experience in an IT environment.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional business teams. Demonstrated strengths in relationship building and conflict management.
- Demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- 5+ years of product management experience – preferably in a consumer focused technology category
- Exceptional project management skills - well organized, detail oriented, ability to set priorities and stay on top of deliverables
- Experience in software development and/or content development
- Experience in the mobile business - knowledge of GSM markets a plus
- Experience working with engineering teams to scope, spec, build and test software products
- Experience dealing with international/emerging markets – experience managing across different time zones and different business cultures
- Very good documentation skills and attention to details
- Good interpersonal skills
We are considering both direct hire and contract to hire (minimum 3 month project). The job comes with possible overseas travel.
