Mobile-XL at GSM WORLD CONGRESS in Barcelona.
LOS ANGELES - FEBRUARY, 2007 - Mobile-XL participated in the 3G World GSM Conference in Barcelona earlier this month in an effort to expand the launch of its newest application, the XLBrowser, a mobile application that utilizes SMS to give instant access to information to users in areas with limited, unreliable, or expensive internet or WAP technologies.
"After a successful show in Cape Town in November, the Barcelona Conference was a great place to address a larger audience in response to the excitement that our activities have generated so far,"" according to Guy Kamgaing-Kouam, CEO - Mobile-XL. "Interest in our company and products has been overwhelming and we are thrilled to be able to reach so many industry players all at one venue."
Mobile-XL demoed its software solution to many important industry players including operators, content providers and other software development houses. The uniqueness of the technology (using SMS as a content delivery mechanism) has left serveral industry experts puzzled about the potential of this service but convinced of a niche market, especially in developing telecom economies.
