Gemalto And Mobile-XL™ Partner To Bring

African Subscribers Mobile value-added Services

The XLBrowser™ content platform to power Gemalto’s Dynamic STK Menu

LOS ANGELES, August 15, 2010 – Mobile-XL™, a mobile technology company, today announced that it has partnered with Gemalto, the world leader in digital security, to provide its full suite of mobile content services through Gemalto’s Dynamic STK software embedded in SIM cards around the world.

Combining the capabilities of Mobile-XL’s™ XLBrowser™ platform and Gemalto /MNO Portal Management/ solution, mobile operators will be able to provide a more complete data experience to their subscribers regardless of the handset they own. The MNO Portal Management solution provides constant contact with the mobile subscriber to inform and educate them on existing and new Mobile-XL™ services. This interactive promotion is done through a push mechanism allowing the display of silent messages on which the customer could react. Users can therefore immediately access a wide range of services ranging from news, sports, social networks like facebook, yellow pages, education, lifestyle, email like hotmail, as well as user generated content.

“We are delighted to be working with Mobile-XL™ to bring a new and exciting portfolio of services that provide mobile subscribers a more enjoyable user experience. Our mobile operator customers have entrusted us to provide enhanced capabilities that benefit their customers. Partnerting with MobileXL is a great opportunity to harness the complementary assets of both companies” Commented Christian Marc, Head of Marketing Africa, Gemalto.

Says Maurice Hazan, VP of Strategic Partnerships, Mobile-XL™: “Gemalto has always been known for its very consumer oriented approach to the market and this partnership will allow both companies to work on improving the mobile experience of all mobile consumers with a focus on emerging markets. By plugging into Gemalto’s already well deployed DSTK platforms worldwide, we believe we can accelerate the diversification of content offerings and work with operators to bring additional interesting services to end users.”
